planning to stay in Colombia from the middle of September until the
beginning of November.
I would love combing the volunteer work with photographing, but I am

Hello knowledgeable SAE members, I´m planning a 5-6 week trip in southern peru including 7-10 days in the Amazon in early to mid-September. As I´m not currently in either Cuzco or Lima, I´m not able to look at the trip reports. So, I´m hoping some of you can share your thoughts and recommendations with me. I´m interested in getting back into the jungle, particularly interested in experiencing some of the smaller waterways by canoe or small boat. Would like to see some wildlife and have hiking opportunities. Am physically strong if that matters. Also, am traveling on mid-range budget (not luxury, not shoestring), generally staying in hostels or posadas. Will be traveling with another friend. Speak spanish well. I would love to get your suggestions for making the most of the experience in a way that doesn´t cost a fortune.
