Quito Clubhouse

Fundacion "The Explorers Foundation"

Overview

Located high in the Andes Mountains and nestled in a valley created by volcanoes, the Quito clubhouse offers travelers a variety of services to experience the capital city and all of Ecuador.

Founded in 1989, Quito clubhouse is located in the heart of the La Mariscal neighborhood, a very popular area for travelers and in walking distance from many hotels and hostels. Many of the restaurants and bars nearby offer a discount to SAE members as well!

We encourage our members to treat the clubhouse as their home away from home. Travelers often stop by to meet other travelers, access the internet, read current postings on our bulletin board, get advice from staff, participate in weekly events, research future travels or just kick back and relax. Some of our members even live in the clubhouse. There are six rooms to rent-daily or monthly, three with private baths, ranging from $250 to $350 per month.

The clubhouse also has various weekly events, such as cooking lessons, Spanish classes, Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas parties, chiva bus tours around the city (bus with a band and drinks), guided hiking tours, yoga classes and much more! The staff is always happy to see familiar faces and make new arrivals feel at home! We look forward to seeing you soon!
