Hi Guys,

Here's hoping that we won't have to reschedule our tango event again, like we had to last week due to the storms (see below for the rescheduled date). There was a lot of interest in this event, which is why it is being rescheduled and so we hope that all those people who wanted to attend will still be able to attend in the near future.

Gallery Hop in Palermo Viejo
Friday, February 12, 5:30pm, Beginning at Galería Gaia (Thames 1410).

This month our gallery hop will explore contemporary art in Palermo Viejo. The hop includes stops at 3 art galleries with private chats with artists and curators. We’ll finish the evening by having a drink at Chill Bar.

Tango Night
Friday, February 19th at 6pm

Join us at the SAE office at 6pm for beer, empanadas, and a little tango history before heading off to an outdoor tango show. The milonga in the Plaza Flores will include traditional tango music by Aníbal Gómez y la Característica as well as more contemporary music by internationally renowned tango DJ Damían Boggio. Come enjoy the music and maybe learn a few steps!
$25 for members and $35 for non-members (transport included to the show)

Pub Crawl
Friday, February 26, 10pm.

In conjunction with Pub Crawl Buenos Aires, we´ll be hosting a special evening of bar hopping in the center. Come along for a night out partying with us and meeting people from all over the world! Night includes: Open Bar: beer, wine & pizza (10-11pm), Free welcome shooter at each bar (3-4 bars), Exclusive drink discounts for pub crawlers only, Transportation to the club, Free club admission jumping the line.

Fundación Leer
Fundación Leer is a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) that collects funds, distributes it to educational facilities (such as other NGO’s and schools) and administers them to make sure their level of education is up to par. Specifically, Leer gives their support by buying school supplies, creating and funding new curriculums, sponsors tutoring programs and more. Currently Leer is looking for  volunteers that would be interested in doing office work such as correcting texts (in Spanish and English), updating their blog, fundraising and managing private donations. Last weekend, I was invited out by a couple of Argentine friends to sample some artesanal beer here in the city. The beer, called Nat Beer, is an oatmeal stout made by a local Argentine called Hernan Francisco Natalichioand sold in a couple of ferias close to the city as well as a few outlets within the centre itself.
