FILM NIGHTS

On alternating Mondays at 6 pm, at the Cafe Punchay on Choquechaca 229, join us to enjoy great Latin American (and other great films!) Only S/5 for members, S/.8 non-members

PUB QUIZ

An event that has grown considerably in popularity is our Pub Quiz. At a popular restaurant, The Real McCoy, every other Wednesday night at 7:30pm. Everyone can enjoy some food specials and 'happy hour' drinks while playing the game to benefit the DESEA organization that provides water filtration and hygiene instructions to remote communities in the Sacred Valley.

FRIDAY HAPPY HOUR

Come enjoy a relaxing evening of drinks and entertainment, games or just shooting the breeze with your fellow club members and adventures. At the clubhouse on alternate Fridays, from 6 p.m.

PERUVIAN FOOD & DRINK NIGHT

Our Peruvian Food & Drink Nights are quite possibly the most popular event we have. On these evenings, a buffet with a number of local dishes is prepared as a batch of pisco sour is made. This is a great opportunity not only to try some of the local dishes but also to meet other travellers passing through Cusco and to share your stories of exploring South America.

Carmen our excellent chef preparing the food before everyone arrives.

It's a great time to meet new people and enjoy great local food.

Heather and a member making some pisco sour - a local drink.

The food just before everyone started digging in.

FILM NIGHT

About once a month we show a film that has a Latin American theme and/or setting. A number of the films we show are either docu-dramas or films with some biographical content. Below are examples of some of the films we show at the clbuhouse. If you have any ideas for films you think are worth showing let us know and we will do what we can.

Love in the Time of Cholera

The Mission

City of God

Touching the Void

QUECHUA CLASS

Another popular event is the Quechua Class for beginners. Quechua has been spoken in this region for centuries and was around before the rise of the Inca Empire. Even today it is still spoken by many in countries such as Peru, Bolivia and Chile. For these classes, we arrange to have an experienced teacher who is a native Quechua speaker to teach the basics.
Notes are provided.
