Biking in Ecuador

Mountain Biking in Ecuador is excellent fun. Most companies offer downhill biking from Ecuador’s famous volcanoes - the most famous being Cotopaxi, the highest active volcano in the world. Check your bike and make sure everything is working properly. Also check your travel insurance before you book a tour to make sure you are covered in the event of an accident. In recent years biking in Quito has become popular - on the last Sunday of every month a section of road is shut off in Quito and may only be used by bikes. Check out www.cicloviasquito.org
