Founded in September
1989, the Quito clubhouse has become a bustling organization
with the largest staff of the three clubhouses. The club
is an ideal place to meet other travelers, read the bulletin
board for discounts, kick back and relax, read trip reports,
hook up with other travelers, drink tea, or just hang out.
For more information on these and other membership benefits,
see below.
Hours:
Regular
hours are Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 5:00 PM.
The Quito Clubhouse is open Saturdays from 9:00 am until
noon.
On Thursdays, the clubhouse is open until 8:00 PM, for our
weekly presentations.
Directions:
A taxi from the airport to the clubhouse should
cost no more than US$5-7. Taxi drivers are officially required
to use their meters during the day, but airport taxis often
charge a flat fee. Tell the driver you want to go to la
Mariscal (the neighborhood in which the Club is located)
and give the address: Jorge Washington 311 y Leonidas Plaza.
The Club is a two-minute walk from Parque El Ejido in the
New Town, one block from Av. Seis de Diciembre (a major
bus route in Quito), and a ten-minute bus, or taxi ride
from Colonial Quito.
